Through my art I like to highlight overlooked beauty of everyday we can all be grateful we have. I like to take note of what in everyday life, whether it is nature or little things and photograph it, and express it in the moment of contrast to amplify the moment.
Kristín’s art is abstract realism. She mainly work through layers of medium and paint. It contains groundwork of drawing the main object from the photo she use with charcoal or paint, spray paint, collage, acrylic and oils in the last layers. Underneath each piece is nature in background and newspaper as to relation to time and surroundings, nature, flow of life we all belong to.
